SUMMARY 

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of tasks to help support the Finance Department at our corporate office for Sun & Ski Sports. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-  Prepare and process a variety of monthly journals entries

-   Maintain and analyze various account reconciliations

-  Reconcile several bank accounts

-  Prepare monthly landlord sales reporting

-  Compare actual cash bank deposits to our sales journal amounts weekly

-  Assist with monthly financial statement preparation

-  Supporting various A/P functions when needed 

- Other ad-hoc reporting and special requests

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree or minimum of Associates degree in Finance/Accounting 

-  2+ years of working Accounting experience performing similar functions as listed

-  Knowledge of general ledger and accounting principles

-  Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. 

-  Experience with Island Pacific AS400 is a plus. 

-  General understanding of and cross-training in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

-  Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and oral communication skills 

-  Develop and implement solutions to increase efficiency, continuous improvement and profitability.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments 

- Attention to detail and accuracy, and have the ability to meet deadlines 

- Maintains knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and other relevant accounting regulations

*Although this position's schedule is M-F and during traditional work hours, weekends or non-traditional work hours may be required for special projects or busy times of the year, or when strict deadlines must be met.

Compensation

$20.00 - $25.00

Hourly pay rate based on experience and interview.
