Position Overview

This position assists Distribution Center management team and warehouse employees.

Role Responsibilities

  • Process of daily store special transfers, customer special orders and store supplies
  • Solve warehouse concerns/trouble shipments from vendors by working with Buying Team and Vendors for quick and accurate resolution
  • Learn Traverse Systems compliance software for tracking and correcting trouble shipments
  • Enter shipment details into compliance software
  • Resolve Vendor chargeback disputes with detail resolution
  • Approve Vendor chargebacks
  • Work with DC Operations and Buying Team on follow up with accuracy/detail and resolution of all troubles
  • Follow up with DC Operations on accuracy/detail of compliance audits
  • Assist DC Operations with any entry of audits or trouble issues
  • Receipt inventory adjustments - solve, document and correct concealed shortages/overages, issuing chargebacks where necessary
  • Process Return to Vendor (RTV) merchandise, store returns and damaged merchandise by working with Buying Team and Vendors for quick and accurate resolution
  • Process Buyer recall returns for credit
  • Prepare any shipment for Vendor return
  • Coordinate yearly fiscal inventory, including preparation, planning, keying inventory discrepancies
  • Personally cross-train in multiple DC/Warehouse stations to assist as needed
  • Research inventory discrepancies - Liaison between DC Operations and Store Ops/Accounts Payable
  • Correct concealed carton inventory discrepancies
  • Supervise a small team of compliance auditors during peak times of winter season deliveries
  • Follow up distro status history between DC and Stores.
  • Research and correct time clock error, including missed punches, and enter Vacation, Holiday & Sick (VHS) and time used
  • Track remaining VHS for DC employees to ensure time is being used timely
  • Coordinate Warehouse/Distribution Safety and Training programs with all warehouses
  • Review current DC office processes and establish more efficiencies
  • Assist with theft deterrent processes and ensure consistency with those processes
  • Work with Human Resources and DC Management to improve work environment, turnover and company loyalty
  • Maintain personal professionalism at work, while supporting the DC management team.
  • Time will be spent approximately 51% in office and 49% in warehouse (some exceptions for peak season)

Note: Responsibilities may be added or changed as the needs of the business dictate.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Typical work schedule is: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. In addition, this position requires working certain weekends during peak times of the year and occasionally staying late, as business needs dictate.
  • Excellent problem solver with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and thrives under timeline pressures
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Experience working in a Warehouse or Distribution Center, a plus
  • Experience with Vendor Relations and Compliance, a plus
